I think the term used by shekar is "commando comic channels" - because those channels are both comical and hyper militaristic like the guy "master shifuji" who turned out to be a fraud masquerading as a military man.... A person relying solely on tv news for info will certainly think shekhar is a great journalist. Those who know and use multiple news sources including apps from playstore, various youtube channels, etc. will know better and understand the limits of shekhar's knowledge...

@BharatThatIsIndia well i think your logic of learning requiring disagreement is just false. If you dont know about something, you cant reasonably disagree with anyone on that topic. And agreement doesnt meen ignorance, it just means convergent reasoning. But what you seem to suggest is that personal growth is possuble only through quarrel - which i think is a depressing view on the learning process.. You can only learn from someone whom you have some level of common understanding with , it is impossible to learn if you diagree with even the basic fundamental aspects with the other person. And agreement is not the end of learning for the student who pursues each argument to its utmost logical conclusion....

@BharatThatIsIndia yeah it is entirely possible that the standard i set for shekhar is to be a real journalist and do the job of "media" acting as a medium of transmission of news to viewers. Maybe that is why i am rarely as overwhelmed as you seem to get - perhaps your bemchmark is the general discourse of news in Indian telivision, which is a very low benchmark for any journalist to rise above. It is nice that you are able to appreciate some things in life. We all need to be appreciated from time to time. But i dont get why the fact that you disagree with shekhar has any value or standing to whether you like his work or not. But if it makes you feel any better then i guess that is good...
