There is a story in the life of Adi Shankaracharya where as he was walking on the road he encountered a chandala. He told the chandala to make way for him as touching the chandala was impure for a brahmin. The chandala replied "is my soul not the same as your soul, both part of the Paramatman? Then how can you become impure by touching me?" Adi Shankaracharya realised the error of his ways and of his though and the chandala revealed himself to be Bhagawan Shiva himself who had decided to teach the essense of Advaita Vedanta to the saint. This story is from the Shankara Digvijaya, the biography of Adi Shankaracharya. The current Shankaracharya deserves respect but the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya are worth more respect and are more relevant in the modern world. Hope you enjoyed the tale, whatever tag has been applied on anyone by birth in this crooked world in Kali Yuga, I hope your self increases in wisdom and awareness so that it may not be entangled in ignorance - i only ask that you wish me the same and in some future we may realise that we are one.

@bilalbaig8586 every human has divinity in him - if you knew the story of the original Adi Shankaracharya's encounter with a chandala who was Bhagawan Shiva in disguise, you wouldnt have commented this as if the shankaracharya is the pope of hinduism...

@impossible9599 "ultimately we are going to die" considering death as the absolute end of existence is as much a justification for a hedonistic lifestyle as it is for a productive lifestyle that helps society and humanity. That line of thought has already been propounded by the charvakas of India and I do not find it appealing...

@bilalbaig8586 lol only with a surface level understanding could you say that hinduism is a inconsistent ideology. The consistency of the fundamental ideology of hinduism is contant irrespective of whether the source material is 2500 old or if it is 1300 years old. Certain constructs however unjustifiable have been made in the name of hinduism over the ages, they have been used, abused, distorted, corrupted, etc. But the core ideology of hinduism is more consistent and universal , appl8cable to any type of society or individual, past present or future than any other ideology that I have studied. If you are incapable of understand that core ideology, then it is your limitation and yours alone...

@impossible9599 you think in too small a timeframe, humanity is but a moment in the timelines of the cosmos. If that is the immortality you desire then you think too small..
