@Nagsen1234 i am sure communalism wont peak when any pro sharia party comes to power. You can see how secular the states of pakistan and afghaniatan. Minorities never protest or raise issues there. Even in bangladesh you saw how communal tensions were resolved during last years durga puja in a progressive islamic way...

@Nagsen1234 ok, i won't get personal. But let me ask you, are islam and hinduism equal? Are the fundamental tenants of both religion equal? Do they both call for the defeat of kafirs and victory of islam? Do they openly call out for genocide or ethnocide? Do they equally profess destruction of competing cultures as a means of propagation? Are the two equal? Or are the two equalised by the secular state which states that it is equidistant but wants to be blind to the social phenomenon of religion. Is this all the great institutions of Indian democracy do. Might as well keep the motto of India as "Shanti eva jayate" instead of "Satyameva jayate" if truth is sacrificed at the altar of secularism. Oh, and tell me about minorities like Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jews. Also tell me why 95% or more of communal riots in India involves islam and muslim. I gave you statistics (i can give you sources too if you are blind to these realities) now let's talk about fundamental visible social reality without any sugar coating or delusional hope.

@rodgerbloor6680 What is Bharat? What is the meaning of "India that is Bharat"? The term Union was used specifically by the architect of the constitution to imply that despite the federal provisions, the nation is paramount. My understanding is that Bharat is the nation mentioned in the constitution. As you rightly pointed out, Indian constitution should be changed with the changing times. The call fot converting India into a civilisational state is already graining traction among the populace. The nature of the ongoing fourth gen warfare and ideological warfare spares no state of Bharat. From encroachments in Assam to forced conversions in Tamil Nadu, from state control of temples in kerala to issues of religious war in kashmir, the entire process of nation building has led to a increasing cohesion among various sections of society leading to such organic cultural movements like the Ram Mandir movement. A casual look at the amount of money collected for the Ram Mandir from Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, etc. are proof enough for this. I love your point though about each generation deciding their fates instead of living in the past. The ghost of gandhi has haunted India for long enough.

@p.s6287 modi will then have to worry about the laziness of people who demand freebies instead of fighting for jobs. In a country where 90 % engineering graduates are unfit for wmployment by market standards, its rich to talk about unemployment being the govts problem. These people dont want jobs, they want freebie secure plump govt employment. Despite the shortstaffing of govt institutions, the new paradigm of digital India makes digital tobust systema of governance moree efficient, less corrupt and cheaper than the traditional beurocratic machinery model. But some people still think jobs are their right. They will bring the innefficiency of the old bureaucratic system into emerging markets too. Already politicians are guaranteeing reservation in private sector, its not long before demands for reservations in promotions for private industry also arise.
