Knowledge of possibly the entire english vocabulary in the world cannot prevent shashi from forgetting that the Amar Jawan Jyoti was not extinguished but merged into the National War Memorial. He cannot even acknowledge the fact that indira gandhis own defence minister believed the Amar Jawan Jyoti to be a temporary fixture until the building of a National War Memorial to remember everyone who gave their life for India, not just those who defended India during indiras rule. He cannot justify the fact that the National War Memorial was a long standing request of the veterans, stalled by the gandhi nehru parivar for years due to their own lack of vision , political acumen or spine. Sirf english bolne se ab se kaam nhi chalega ji... you yourself acknowledged in India Today conclave, who erased the past to grab power- apparently it was the son of motilal nehru who did that, qnd according to tharoor it was justified. His outrage now is at the audacity of the common populace at questioning lies that had been successfully concealed by nehru, not at the arrogance of India's first prime minister in fabricating and distorting the history of a nation whose motto is "satyameva jayate". I wonder if shashi knows this slogan , or if he thinks the national motto is some garbage in latin...

These congress lackeys are infuriated at their historical narative being rejected while people fight to learn and understand their history devoid of congressi propaganda. Talk about history, talk about naval mutinies, congress blind eye to islamic seperatism during the quit India movement and gandhis nonviolence and its effectiveness against jinnah. Learn history, learn about the mopplahs and the khilafat movement. Learn your history, learn how ambedkar was sidelined and what ambedkar thought about socialism, islam and sino indian friendship. Know your history, know the effect of Bose on India national movement. You are not the gatekeepers of history, you are just a citizen as am I. Our history does not bend to your will pr your biases, and as long as you look down on there citizens learning history, your arrogance will shine through for all to see...

The slogan "he who forgets history is doomed to repeat it" is not for hindus according to such people. Things like UPI, JAM trinity or mudra loans, shift to capitalism and embedding India in global supply chains for economic stability in coming decades, you are blind to such things. @AKumar-co7oe i can understand your frustration when democratic politics (which itself is a product of colonialism) acts against your own preconceived notions of India. It must be infuriating to see neither PhD nor 30 crores can subdue the will of the masses. I am sure your doomsaying is the natural psychological reaction to this reality hostile to your notions, it is just marginally better than suffering in silence.
