@gerryburntwood9617 if what the rss is doing is hate speech leading to genocide and pogroms, by that very logic (under the simple assumption that hindus and muslims are equal under the eyes of the law) the quran should logically be classified as a document of hate speech that endorses pogrom and genocide, and every mullah teaching the quran in India out th be charged with the same charges.

@gerryburntwood9617 Muster against them all the men and cavalry at your disposal so that you can strike terror into the enemies of Allah and of the believers and others besides them who may be unknown to you, though Allah knows them. And remember whatever you spend for the cause of Allah shall be repaid to you. You shall not be wronged. — Quran 8:60[74] Those who believe, fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Satan. So fight you against the friends of Satan. Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Satan. — Quran 4:76[80] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violence_in_the_Quran

I guess the kar sevaks who destroyed babri masjid too were "afraid"

@gerryburntwood9617 i wasnt the one who proclaimed in absolutist terms "there is no verse in quran that justifies genocide". As for hindu texts, similar quotes calling for murder over another's beleif system exists. But the interesting thing is that it isnt mandatory for hindus to take an absolutist position, to either accept or reject any text 100%. Each individual has the freedom to accept or reject parts of these texts. That is the reason why you find terrorist nutjobs fighting each other over who has the purer understanding of the quran (and by extension, islam) while the entirety of hindu history has rare instances of severe sectarian conflicts.

@gerryburntwood9617 btw muslims have fought for the freedom struggle, not all muslims but some have. Muslims have agreed with the idea of modern India, not all muslims but some. Neither of these historical facts justifies the islamic position that the quran is above analysis or criticism by non believers. Nothing in recorded history justifies blasphemy laws or violence against disbelievers and rejections of allahs message. All that is needed for the end of islam is an environment that allows for honest criticism and rationality. The same applies for christianity, that is why christianity is in decline in europe.

@gerryburntwood9617 you simply state a braindead argument without providing any source or proof. What are you hoping to acheive? Do yo believe the very mention of fascism will make me back down? But still, prove to me that hindutva is a fascist ideology, using literary sources and historical evidence instead of simply stating it as if it were a fact. Then we can have a rational fact based conversation on the topic. Instead what you try is to project hindutva as a monolithic inflexible ideology that is fundamentally incompatible with the modern world, when in reality hindutva was crafted specifically for the modern world. That is why your view gains no traction, it is based on fundamentally flawed perceptions and prejudices.

@pam4840 abe i was calling out his hypocrisy that violent reaction to a facebook post by peaceful community is justified. I personally dislike the game of using outrage and "sensitive religious sentiment" to justify violence. But if the institutions under the constitution are unable to provide justice, things like babri masjid demolition are "inevitable" due to "sensitive religious sentiments" of hindus .

@gerryburntwood9617 also, by every standard you evaluate hindutva as facist, the same standards make abrahamic religions ultra pro fascist. That is the height of hypocrisy of your kind .
