BRIC investing more in gold is actually an indicator that the BRICS+ is coming up with a reserve currency othet than the yuan - just like how the dollar was backed by its purchasing power of crude oil, the BRICS currency will be backed by purchasing power of russian oil and minerals. The curremt gold purchasing spree by BRICS seems more like creating wiggle room for dealing with global shocks when the introduction of said reserve currency takea place than any lavk of self confidence...
