  1. Miguel. The tube is the oldest underground system in the world and gets the least money from central government for any major city in the world. So What's more important? Taxpayers money for the capitals tube system or giving it to over 12 million to sit at home all day for best part of a year? Your point on redundancy is a non starter too imo as a great deal of staff have worked in excess of 30 years. The cost would be too high.
