@brianbowers-x9q I live in the middle of the countryside and drink with 2 farmers who are loaded. Both voted for Brexit. Both have loads of land, both drive expensive 4x4s. Farmers are the most subsidised industry in the country. 40% council tax discounts on their farm houses too and no council tax on any farm buildings. The average EU subsidies ( finally finished in 28 ) are 70k You sound like a Brexit voter that didn’t give a tos s about them or the fishing community when you were voting to leave because you didn’t want any foreigners here.

@jv5958 Most of our food comes from the EU and thanks to you voting for Brexit made our local produce so expensive that only the people sitting in 150k tractors be able to afford it. Bet you didn’t even know what a farm shop looks like.

@duncanball9323 I’m not a fan but why would he listen to them moaning. Farmers are the most subsidised industry in the country. Once their nasty EU subsidies finally are withdrawn in 28 they will no doubt be moaning even more despite the fact that most of them voted to leave the EU😂

@duncanball9323 No farmers protested over everyone else having to pay taxes. Just more moaning when it affects them. Most of them won’t get touched anyway. Maybe you could start another petition?

@duncanball9323 No. I’ve done my grafting, now retired. I’ve never said that farmers don’t work hard just that they are moaning about a tax that they will not have to pay up to 3 million and then have a 50% discount on over everyone else with no interest to pay over 10 years. Up to 40% council tax discounts on their farm house, fuel subsidies and the average 70k subsidies from the EU ( which will finally finish in 28 ) I know 2 farmers who are loaded, 1 friend is an agronomist who deals with a farmer who owns 2,200 acres and hasn’t stopped grumbling. Most of the commenters on here will have not gave them a second thought back in 2016 nor buy any food or produce from any farm shop but are just jumping on the RW rhetoric band wagon. To be expected though as they aren’t that bright…

@duncanball9323 Yes. Most pensioners are mortgage free. My neighbour who has spent all his working life avoiding paying tax and NI ( self employed accountant ) didn’t stop moaning about the WFA shortly before going to the far east for 6 weeks - his 4th holiday in 2024. A one off payment which should have never been paid out in the first place.

@gnarlyxagock9749 Essentially you are getting annoyed about a small percentage of wealthy landowners having to pay a tax the rest of us are liable for but in their case they get a huge reduction. Really -NO ONE should be paying it but I can’t remember any farmers having protests for the rest of us.
