  3.  @gregsmith7821  You make a good point Greg, not forgetting that a large number of mortgage free pensioners voted to leave the EU when they've had many years of the benefits it gave us. Something so important should have been made a compulsory vote and ( as Moggy mentioned ) in 2 parts. Funny that even though the economy has tanked and we now have the lowest growth in Europe with the latest OBR figures and that immigrants are pouring in as we now have no right to send them back to France some leave supporters STILL think it's the best thing ever and like some sort of silly competition. The next thing is now these same myopic fools are in a Reform echo chamber waffling about how good they will be not realising that the first thing they will do is get shot of the NHS.

  6.  @cliffhughes6010  Yes Cliff I did gather that. Unfortunately my quip about retirement age will more than likely something that comes true, especially with the Tories in charge. They are gradually moving the goal posts and it won't be long before it's 70 plus before you can claim it. I also have a sneaking suspicion why our covid death rates are so high. Think of all those pensions that they won't have to pay out on now.

  7.  @cliffhughes6010  Agreed Cliff. It was like they were wishing people away. The UK has never looked after it's pensioners which is why I find it strange so many voted to leave the EU. Look at the pensions countries like Germany, Spain and France pay out. The health system next. 5 years and the NHS is gone imo, sooner if someone like the Reform party got into any sort of power.

Do you think once 2026 comes that us Brits will change our habits and sit down for Turbot and chips on a Friday? Maybe Languostines and Paella on a Monday. What happens when all those family businesses go to the wall and their local economy? Re Migrants - So what happens with the NHS? How are Wayne & Bob going to become neurosurgeons or cardiologists with their 2 GCSEs in Woodwork and car mechanics? Not sure you've thought it through properly Susan. That is the problem when you are bothered by foreigners. (The ones that come to work, pay taxes, save our lives, buy our goods, and do all those jobs that the Inglish won't do)...

  16.  @Petal4822  The trouble is Elaine since leaving the OBR have reported that we are now have the lowest economic growth in Europe and have had 4% lumped onto our inflation figures. You can spout as many clichés as you want but to coin a phrase - its like we've shat in our own bed before going to sleep!
