You obviously don’t live in London. The tube has been breaking records for passenger numbers for years. No one who works in central London drives to work You are just regurgitating the RW media nonsense. If you are on crap money I suggest you join a union.

Wonder how many zeros Ed Balls is getting?

Have you still not worked out that it’s the fault of the companies rather than the workers that get out of bed at 3am to do an early shift?

Is that The Daily Mail, Sun, Telegraph or Express 70k Chris?

It’s funny that you see so many comments on how the trains aren’t really needed yet we have a constant stream of people spouting nonsense like your terrorist rubbish.

Not if you are a train worker who works 39 out of 52 weekends….

@cambs0181 That’s the whole purpose of striking.

Deep breath, count to 10 and release Christine. Then throw the paper away and turn off the usual news channels. You will feel a lot better.

@commentatorofstuff How do you think ordinary people have weekends/bank holidays, protection from harassment and bullying, paternity/maternity leave, meal breaks etc etc? Certainly not from the goodness of their bosses hearts, but by unions fighting for those hard won conditions.

If trains aren’t that important why are there so many people moaning about them going on strike?

@commentatorofstuff Won’t happen for many decades. That’s just Right wing rhetoric.

Your comment proves the media gaslighting works on the myopic Chris.

Difference between the miners and train staff is that it was The Milk snatcher’s doing by rather than being patriotic and keep using the black stuff from the UK it was sourced from abroad as like most things nowadays. You still and always will need a public transport system, whereas Coal was an out going fuel hence easier to get rid of the miners. Forget the driverless nonsense it won’t happen for many decades.

@commentatorofstuff It’s an important and highly skilled job hence the salary. I know people who earn bonuses more than that and just sit at a computer Monday to Friday 9-5
