@disarchitected 3 guesses who started it? At least she’s warm down there.

@henners9747 And as mentioned previously-who sold off a huge chunk of housing stock? Same for manufacturing, same for our utilities.
8
@davidedwards1476 That’s why they are leaving in droves. Oh but the tories do give them a £1000 bursary after they’ve spent 3 years studying, ramped up a 60k plus debt then give them a £22k starting salary. Keep clapping.

@henners9747 Agree with you re the budget slashing but that’s mismanagement by people that shouldn’t really be in those jobs anyway, and yes the 0.5% houses built in 2020 is shocking which has nothing to do with Labour whatsoever. I too believe in state owned utilities - look at EDF in France with just a 4% increase for their people but again it’s all been sold off piece by piece by the tories.

@coopsnz1 Socialism seemed to work OK for 12million tory office and bank workers to sit at home watching loose women and answering the phone in their jimjams though. Hence why the rest of us are having to pay high inflation.
2
@coopsnz1 And I think you will find that the 90% relates to the LAND not the housing. They have some of the best building standards in the world out there. Housing estates are carefully planned with mixed income households so no posh enclaves like here and also everyone can afford to live in the city if they choose to unlike here. You can keep making things up if you like and if it helps you to put your tick in the tory box again. ..

@Mr_Subtle Don’t be silly. Cheapest flat in my wife’s street is 850k. No garden, no parking space. You can’t get a council house because they are either have historically long tenants in them or they were sold off hence my first sentence.
2
@Mr_Subtle The leftist establishment haven’t been in charge for 13 years SW. Do you personally know ALL the facts re the Nigerian mum and other person or are you just taking one side of a story or even making it up for a response to my comment? Yesterday at the gym a lady seemed to know everything about Gary Lineker, his contract with the BBC and his comments. When pressed she told me she read it from the news paper ( Mail )
2
@Mr_Subtle Did you ever do history at school? I suppose you also think the people from the Windrush came for a holiday.

Welcome to Barking.

@k956upg You people keep waffling about open borders. We are out of Europe and it’s even worse because we aren’t legally entitled to send them back until they have been processed. When will you admit you got it wrong?
1
@spotsterjon74cu Agreed. Judging on her last performance of rinsing cruella, Cooper looks good to me.
1
@roger-sl4jh So let’s just keep a load of lying posh people in charge then. Goodbye NHS.
1
@coopsnz1 There’s nothing wrong with renting but unfortunately the British have been conned into thinking you have to buy a house then spend 2/3 of your wages paying the banks for it. Singapore have the right idea, same for Germany where 75% rent but have a far higher quality of life and more disposable income than us mugs over here. You are trying to make it sound like Socialism is the cause of our problems when we’ve had a Tory government for 13 years. Take it you work in the private sector and get private healthcare - banker by any chance Ben? Did you get furloughed?
1
@Mr_Subtle You can’t colonise 22% off the globe then grumble when people want to come back to the mother country.
1
@Mr_Subtle You've obviously not heard Braverman speak then. You've got the left living rent free in your head SW. Who do you suggest? If reform then you can say goodbye to the NHS completely. The UK will also be even more bankrupt with their 20k tax allowance notion which is out there just for the Daily Mail/Express cultists to latch onto

@chrissyboi88b Shows how much about politics you know Chris as those notes have been left by outgoing PMs for years on all sides. As for bankrupting the country that started with Thatcher by getting as many people to buy their council houses and then selling off every little bit of our manufacturing as possible with the coal mines nothing to do with the hard working men and women but her decision to buy it cheaper from abroad as is often the case with everything hence our utilities all foreign owned and the working class mugs paying thousands to heat their homes. The only reason Labour had a massive defeat was Brexit and look how shit that’s gone with the north battered with Job losses and the prime example of 260 De la rue employees enjoying spending more time at home on UC because the ( Tory ) government sold off the contract to print your new super sovereign blue passport to a French/Dutch company who then subbed it out to the poles. Students and youngsters wanting to better themselves by going to university lumber themselves with a 60k plus debt, whilst abroad ( and in Scotland ) it’s either free or for minimum money. The latest recession was caused by 2 main things - giving money to people to sit at home for a year increasing inflation as money had to be printed faster than they could get the ink from Poland and the likes of liz truss and her fcked up budget plus the money spunked on dodgy contracts to friends of friends and with the common denominator that it was all caused by the tories not Corbyn as you deluded people seem to think. On the planet where I live the tories have chipped away at ruining this country so a few multi millionaire/billionaires can siphon off more for their weirdly named offspring - oneus-sixus etc etc but it’s not really their fault just you myopic people that are so desperate for it to be all white on the night that you will happily keep voting for people that don’t give a shite about you, me or anyone else that goes to work just to turn the lights on. Give your head a massive wobble fella.

@disarchitected Spot on.
1
@paraquestuk Coming from Southend you would say that. You Essex bods would vote for a dog turd if it was painted blue.
1
@neilsun2521 That’s the 19,000th time mentioned today. Congrats for not contributing properly.
1
@Zockblatt Shickleblender True but it was a grand a year although they eventually put it up to 3.2k but Osbourne promised to scrap them and didn’t and Cameron continued to wack them up. My middle lad in halls last year will have a 65k debt round his neck when he finishes. Far cry from what it was before. It should be free for nursing or anyone in the care home or teaching professions. Anyone doing media, windsurfing or other nonsense subjects should pay double

@EveryoneneedsaGary Thatcher.
1
@cosh5 Who joined the EU in the first place? Who signed up for the ECHR which makes the new immigration bill (or part of it) illegal to implement? Let me know when you’ve sussed it..
1
@markrushton5108 The only difference between every other city and town in every other country in the world and the UK is that they didn’t vote to impose sanctions on themselves…
1
@t-rex4211 It’s actually 100 billion coming over by next Thursday.
1
@evphex Not in the last 13 years they didn’t. Lmfaoem
1
@happysoul5112 You need to look at who sold the council stock off in the first place. I think you will find that was the tories.
1
@happysoul5112 I would have to ask why you needed to live in a cupboard at 17 years old. I’m hoping it wasn’t down to any nastiness but your dilemma wasn’t due to Labour but probably because you were a single bloke which in terms of points you would have been right at the bottom of the list. Of course nowadays you could identify as a woman / both and would have a far better chance of getting a place, either way when The milk snatcher got people to buy their council places for a huge discount that was the catalyst for todays problems. Minimum rebuilding coupled with wealthy People buying up more places with cheap buy to let mortgages and Pele that should not really be in the homes have made out what it is today, one reason I’m moving abroad as soon as my last one finishes school.
1
@savedemperor8024 It’s far cheaper to live in Europe. The “ everyone who’s in support of the EU is a communist “ line is just waffle by you lot that won’t admit you got it wrong.
1
@happysoul5112 You shouldn’t have been left like that. I hope you got sorted.
1
@harryrichardson7728 The tories allowed that plane to land from Wuhan with 89 on board at the start. They then locked down too late and then messed about with various chop/change rules. They gave countless contracts to friends with no experience in PPE which is why we are still paying millions to store it. So yes they have quite a bit to answer for Harry.
1
@harryrichardson7728 According to one Tory Mp it’s Putins fault that the mortgage rates went up. All the UKs problem’s started way before the Ukraine war and Covid. Over a decade of austerity and the country being force fed a diet of right wing nastiness hence the decision by the myopic to vote for Brexit in the hope that the UK would be rid of any form of brown immigrants. I say Brown as there’s been 3 times more Ukrainians here in the last year than others from other parts of the world yet nothing much is mentioned as people blame the influx from other parts of the world where everyone’s a rapist or terrorist. Started way back with the Windrush generation who came here to help rebuild the UK after the war then it’s just moved on with other sections being blamed for wanting to help and work. Yes, there are scum bags and people who come here to take the piss but that’s from all walks of life, unfortunately our immigration problem has been down to all parties mismanaging the situation. We had more rights to send anyone back when we were in the EU but it was never done correctly. Now out they are using the rules against us yet the right still have their heads in the sand and just spout nasty rhetoric to keep the UK frothing at the mouth.
