  1. Yes Ben, most office bods won't last 6 months on the railway. No regular weekends or bank holidays off. No hour for lunch break with several fag breaks even if you don't smoke, no 9 to 5 regular times plus the 2 weeks of every year at Christmas. Then you have the bonuses of the private sector or the self employed where everything's wacked thru an accountant. All claimed back - cars, food, clothing, tools etc etc. Not forgetting peanut N.I. contributions. Thank god for us train drivers paying 40% tax keeping those private sector workers in the pub.
