Think of your favourite artist (band, singer, musician -whatever) the one that makes you cry and FEEL. Or the connection you've felt with another human where the worlds stopped and it was just you two. I'm not even employed but I know that if I was considered a "low status" in a work place with a fortune and reputation to protect and I shot my mouth off about a (much) higher status touching me (or someone else), not only would I not be believed - I'd likely be fired, and victimized. My children would suffer. Look how much it took to get him to jail. This is why he was so confident too.

It's a really scary time moving away from home, and you do miss that security of a parent constantly being there for you and so many get anxiety and homesick, and I went later on in my 20's so at 18 I'd have really struggled. In the videos they all look drugged. I'm baffled their parents didn't drive over and demand to know what was happening. If that was my daughter I'd have been camped outside!!

I just said he'd kidnapped her and he (my son)immediately was right to say it was the ADULTS fault. Of course it is. The no charge thing is probably due to the owners mental health, and being related to the victim. I can't understand why she let herself into his house with so many pitbulls otherwise. Probably let out earlier on good behaviour. You think Jeffrey Epstein is dead? Maybe he is. But if he is it's only because he's not useful anymore. And if he is dead, someone else just took that trafficking role. This will keep happening until everyone wakes up.   238. There is not enough security in place to protect kids at school. My kids primary just kicks all kids 6+ out and if there's no parent at the top of the wall, the kid is stood by themselves. I've seen it happen so many times. Also I walked into my sons previous primary school (no locked door or anything) and up to the desk - receptionist didn't know me, I asked for my child (he had a dental appointment I'd forgotten about until then) and I was just handed my 4 year old child by a teaching assistant who I also didn't know/didn't know me. I could've been ANYONE. I was amazed by how easy that was.

I have two boys aged 11 and 7, almost 8 and 12. 11 year old walks past his little brothers school on his way home and he meets him but they stay on school grounds and I MEET THEM BOTH every single day. 11 year old can walk home alone if he chooses and he sometimes does. There is no way I would land the responsibility on the older one to walk the younger one home! and that's me as a single parent who can't find work because of this whole childcare issue and am skint as heck.   360. If I had a daughter I swear I'd be a nervous wreck by the time she was 10 and getting more independant. Female teenage hormones? Forget it! you can't win against those things they're dermonic, believe me I experienced them and luckily the much older married man (my teacher) I crushed the hell out of obsessively was too scared to try it on (we got together 13 years later when I was 34 and he was 56 and he said he was very tempted when I was 16 and literally offering it on a plate, especially as his wife said no every night). I actually have two sons now though (not with him!), still primary school age- who can defend themselves pretty well against bullies (verbally, luckily no physical stuff yet!) and all I can do is try my best to raise them to treat their partners right.

  373. She just spiralled into darkness. It's so easily done. She reached out even though reaching out much earlier would've been better. I was the same during covid I just stopped taking care of myself, the home, the kids and became numb. I started the messages/phone calls to reach out so many times and it was so difficult.... the guilt, my pride, the fear - and my home was absolutely NO WHERE NEAR close to that!! I feel bad if there's a laundry pile when folk come over!........admitting I couldn't even take care of myself or my children though felt impossible so many times - we're taught in England to "suck it up and get on with it".... I eventually made the call before I spiralled worse and was given so much help and we're all thriving now. I can totally see what happened here.

  418. Miranda is always desperately seeking the attention she never got as a child. She was neglected and suffered unbelievable sexual trauma as a child. Not excusing what she did, or saying she should be released to do it again, but that should be considered, and she should definitely be receiving the therapy and medication she needs. I think a large part of the tragedy here was she killed that man as a way of getting at her uncle, the whole "you being 16 doesn't matter". She just wanted to feel like she'd "evened up the score" and got all that anger and hatred out of her. It's really sad.
