Israelis were shooting at people who tried to rush ion Israeli check point . It was bad move, in no circumstances I would advice you, when you found yourself in such a predicament to rush a military check point . Let it be a lesson to you , it might be useful in the future .

West Bank ,or Judea and Samaria , there is a self rule in West Bank , their president is Abu Masan . In the 6 days war, when Arab countries - Egypt, Jordan , and Syria attacked Israel , israel despite proclamations by the Arabs that they are throwing Jews into the sea, they lost Jordan lost West Bank , Syria lost Golan height ,Egypt lost Sinai , Sinai Israel gave back , after the treaty of peace with Egypt , by the way before the 6 day war Gaza was administered by Egypt , but Egypt refused to take it back , and even now when there is war on, Egypt is not opening its border with Gaza and not letting Gazans at least for a few months to get out of war zone . So yes, you can say that Israel took part of Judea and Samaria . Arabs attacked israel and lost , that is how borders change , that is how they changed in Europe, hundreds of times , and in US between US and Mexico.
