The craziest thing I've seen, and I get that's it's mild, was mid-2020 in Walmart, in the middle of everyone going about their business, looking at the empty shelves, lamenting the lack of toilet paper, this disheveled looking old lady RACES up shoving everyone out of the way, grabs a big multipack of bottled water of a stack of them, throws it in her cart, looks around at everyone wild-eyed like a dog daring you to try to take away the steak it just snatched off the table, and RUNS away into the store. I and the like dozen people standing around in the dairy section all look at each other like "What the fuck was THAT all about?!"...and then like 5 of them grabbed a pack of water too lol.
That made me think, wow that was crazy, now imagine 500 people acting like that in the same store.

I'm not going to lie, today's weed is pretty crazy, and that makes me feel old as a millennial. I smoked for a decade before 'adulting', and recently my employer revealed that they would not fire people who test positive if they're prescribed.
So I got prescribed. After not using for 8 years, I went to the dispensary and was like "Let's try one of these vape pens...ooo Sour Diesel, I liked that before, let's see it's only 75% THC, that's not that much, right?"
Turns out this is where he realized he fucked up lol. I took a rip off this vape pen and didn't think I was going to make it home. I did, but holy shit I was not expecting to get trip to Mars high, just a little buzzed, sheesh.
The future is crazy.

Australia is RIGHT up to the line of actual war with China at the moment. China f-ed them royally, and openly, when covid was ramping up by having Chinese nationals buy up all the medical supplies in Australia and shipping them back to China while they kept the coof disaster concealed. Then covid hits Australia and they had nothing, no ppe, no ventilators, no masks, no gloves, their people died as a direct result of Chinese action. That's like secretly setting someone's house on fire, not telling them, then stealing all their fire extinguishers and locking all the doors on your way out and watching them burn alive telling the fire dept "I don't know WHAT happened, innocent me over here, what a tragedy this happened to them"...
THEN they destroyed the Aussie win industry last year, by imposing a massive tariff on imports of wine to China, killing something like 80%+ of the customer demand for Australian wine overnight. And I'm sure I've missed many other stories and events, but China is waging outright, blatant economic war against Australia, and they're quite incensed about it and not taking it. I've joked with friends I discuss these things with "How crazy would it be if the WW3 everyone has always predicted started with Australia going to war with China, of all players." The UK and Russian have had some very intense friction recently as well, with just a month or so ago the Russians saying they'd use nuclear weapons against the UK Navy if necessary to keep them away from Crimea and Ukraine.
It would be such historical irony if the US ended up playing a supporting role in a WW3 scenario of UK/Australia vs Russia/China, after everyone thinking it would be the US vs everyone for so long. So goes the moves on The Grand Chessboard, as Brzezinski famously called it.

Just think about how...interesting...it is that we live in a day where one nation invades another and there is outrage and surprise that the invading nation would hit a civilian home with non-precision artillery. Look to history and you see that targeting civilians was a feature of large scale warfare, not a bug.
HIROSHIMA, for example, was a civilian target deliberately chosen for psychological impact. In WW2 Europe entire non-military cities were obliterated, see Dresden and Hamburg, or for Pacific theater, Tokyo. Tens of thousands of civilians were killed in these bombing campaigns. Stalingrad was sieged and blockaded by the Germans for YEARS and MILLIONS of Russian civilians, women and children, died/starved to death.
What was a major disconnect for me here was "Russia invades Ukraine!...watch live on our livestreaming Kiev/Kyiv cam!
If there was a 'real' invasion, I'd expect ZERO news, because I'd expect all communications to be down, no cell service, no GPS, no sat phone, no internet, radio jamming, a complete black box. The fact that people are calling in and out, livestreaming, webcamming live from cities, seems ODD. On a good day in the US, comms are down and out at least somewhere, yet in Ukraine they're under the alleged worst invasion since WW2 and everything is just running fine? OK.

Man, I remember when covid was really ramping up, like March 2020, I asked my parents, whom were born in 1940 and 1944, if they ever remember, ever in their long lifetimes, born during WW2, did you ever go to the grocery store and see no bread, no milk, no meat of any kind at any price on the shelves?
Their simultaneous answers:"Of course not, this is AMERICA!".
Then I showed them my phone and the photos I'd just take at the local Walmart where all the meat, produce, bread and dairy shelves were bare and they were completely shocked. They thought I was pranking then. It was that unbelievable to them, food shortages, in the United States?!

I know it sounds shallow and vapid, but if you're a billionaire like Putin, with a well-known penchant for wearing custom, individual tailored $10,000 Brioni suits, how serious can you take a guy who sits down across from you, from the allegedly most powerful opposition nation, wearing at best a Ralph Lauren number his wife probably laid out for him? Biden doesn't even wear American made aviators, he wears fucking RAY BANS, TRASH! AT LEAST he could be wearing American Optical or Randolph Engineering Aviators, made in America.
Anyway, these meetings, The G7, the G20, the WEF, Davos, they're all drinking club social events, and everyone knows you will be judged on how you dress for the social occasion, and I'm just saying, as a citizen of the United States, a shareholder in this company as it were, I'd like my CEO to meet with the other opposing company CEOs and be the best dressed in the room, befitting the big dick energy of a GDP above $20 trillion.
Like I said, it's shallow and vapid, but that doesn't make it untrue.

TRUE, that does make logical sense. Both parents have equal 'claim' to the kid, if one forfeits that claim by choice, like taking a name off a title, the father should then be the sole parent, all shared rights relinquished by one partner are gained by the other.
I'm an adopted kid, and as I was told, before I could be family-adopted, my bio dad had to legally sign away all rights of any kind to me, only then were my grandparents able to legally adopt me. Of course, had there been a different 'choice' made, he wouldn't have been consulted at all, which is very wrong. Not all parties get a say, I know if I had been asked, I'd have voted to live, and being alive now I reaffirm that vote.
