  1. The user base for youtube is the advertisers. The VIEWERS of content are the PRODUCT the platform sells to said advertisers. The content creators are the filler between ads. And that's how it's always been, at least since money got involved.

  2. Been ads on my videos as long as I can remember, back to 2010 maybe? I have ads off by default, opted out, don't even have an adsense account. People have confused demonitized with de-advertised, they are not the same. It's probably impossible to get de-advertised, easy to get demonitized. Only difference is the rev split.

  3. Demonitized has no relation to being de-advertised lol. You get ads regardless, only change is who gets paid from them. My channel has never been monetized, I have it off, opted out, I don't even have an adsense account...my videos have had ads for at least 10 years I can remember. I have to watch them myself on my own videos lol. Never gott a penny, nor do I really want to. The sole purpose of the platform is to serve the users, advertisers, with the product, you the viewer, to see their ads. A video happens somewhere in there but doesn't really matter, it's a byproduct of the actual service, advertising.

  4. They've done this for Years already. I have no monetization on my channel, none of my videos, I don't even have an adsense account. My videos have had ads for years. Demonitized videos have ads. It's the sole purpose of the platform, to serve ads. The only difference is if you're getting a cut of the revenue, or Google keeps all of it. In every case, the viewer is the PRODUCT, the actual user, the client, of youtube, is the advertisers.

  5. Always has. Demonitized has always just meant you no longer get a cut of the ads ran on your videos. I've never been monetized, I don't even have an adsense account, my chanel videos have ads. I have monetization off, opted out. They still run ads, and have for, shit. 10 years at least.
