  1. It's to protect the speech I don't like, FROM ME. Given the power to arbitrarily censor, people will, which is why it's a bad idea to give that power to anyone. Its like the One Ring, it is not to be used by anyone because the only outcome is pain, suffering, and destruction. Cast the censorship into the fire!

  2. As I've said, free speech and expression isn't to protect the speech that I like, it's to protect the speech I DON'T like, FROM ME. I have no right to silence anyone, and conversely no one has any right to silence me or anyone else. In that way everyones speech is equally protected, and not subject to personal, arbitrary, ever-changing limits.
