My question is, why does she work in a building? If she was actually smart, she could do software engineering anywhere, via remote. She could have a 4 bedroom brick home in a gated community here in the Midwest, with acres of land, for a fraction of what she pays in rent, and do the exact same job remotely. Every software engineer I currently know, several, all work from home. Covid made office buildings obsolete.
