  1. I'm glad you used that specific word, "deperson". A synonym for dehumanize. Here's the problem I have with dehumanizing someone due to their views: if you can do it to someone, you can do it to ANYONE. I personally don't want to be dehumanized, so I oppose dehumanizing anyone. It's the same with censorship. If something can be censored, that makes room and precedent for ANYTHING to be censored. 'Hate Speech' is a vehicle of this. Oh, racism is bad, hate speech, silence it...but then a while later, before you know it, it's something mundane and mainstream that a vocal enough minority bitches about, oh, that's now hate speech, just like racism, and you're 'evil' for saying that opinion, silence it. And if you try to fight back against that, well now you're a 'bigot' who 'platforms' and defends 'hate speech'...It's very insidious and pernicious.
