  8. My father is 82, he was 80 when my mother, his wife, died in 2020. They were married 59 years, and he recently mentioned he has no interest in dating: "I'm still married", he says. "Our vows were until death do US part, not one or the other. Just because she died she didn't stop being my wife." That's a powerful thing to hear from your father as a single 39 year old childless never married man. That's the kind of relationship I want to hold out for.

Christian dating is a pretty specific box, with specific goals and criteria.   15. Lol, my younger sister is a banker, her wedding was pretty elaborate and I think she spent like $2500 and endlessly complained about how that was way too much. She makes six-figures but will literally argue about a foreign vacation price going up $100 lol. I guess that mentality is why they keep buying and paying off a bigger and bigger house every 3-5 years.
