And the fucked up thing is, at least in my state, if that father is incarcerated, child support orders are suspended. You go to jail and you don't owe anything.
Here's how f-ed up women are, I've had chicks hit on me, then I search their criminal history, see their divorce and child support order, it's all public record, and see her baby daddy just went to jail, so of COURSE she's out single mom prowling for a new man, her money just got turned off.
I've had women confirm this when confronted with it.

@Alvin-1138 ask yourself this, IF the kids are the PRIMARY concern, then whomever is deemed the one ABLE to pay child support to the other parent is who gets the kids, because they have the most resources.
If the court reviews everything and sees the mother could pay $1500/month in child support if the dad got custody, and the dad could pay $3000/month to her if she gets the kids, it makes ZERO sense for her to get the kids, they'd be taken care of TWICE AS WELL by the father.
In that case the dad would get the kids and their burden, and she would get nothing, no kids, no having to pay child support, and the kids are better off.
I makes no sense to take money from him and give to the 'lesser' parent, if she wants to leave, she leaves clean, and he takes on the burden as men do.
And if that's reversed, he could pay $3k and she could pay $10k, it would make sense she gets the kids AND no child support, she has more resources.
All that would involve removing emotion from things, so that's not happening.

@eyemunchained8968 unofficially though, were I him and found out my kids were not mine, HEY LOOK I JUST found hundreds of K to hire ruthless attorneys to wreck her in any way possible.
He's acting pretty passive because he BELIEVES those kids are his, but I bet that would change if they were proven NOT, regardless of the law, the court can't make a father care, believe me.
At that point I'd be like "Child support is $50k a year, my legal fees fighting that support are $100k but also are punishing her, WORTH IT, in fact hire another firm, throw this extra stack of hundos on the fire"
