  1. I had a 'friend' recently telling me, almost demanding, that I need to date single mothers, 'grow my family' he said. I said I'm only interested in having my own kids, and now that I can afford to buy new, why buy used? He didn't like that, and told me with a straight face "You can't choose who you love, if you met the right mother and fell in love you'd raise those kids like your own, love just happens!" And I'm like Bro, not you or anyone else can MAKE ME LOVE SOMEONE, sorry. If you can't control your feelings, which he can't as he married and divorced a stripper out of High School, had kids with her, then was widowed by the older single mother in his second marriage. It didn't end the friendship but it ended me ever even remotely discussing that topic again.

  2. I'm told my great grandparents actually got married, then got divorced, then REMARRIED and got divorced AGAIN. And this was early 1900s America.
