  3. As I approach 40, I've learned that boring is something to aspire to. Boring means we have nothing to worry about. Everything is handled, sorted, taken care of, squared away, dialed in, locked down, good to go. If things are boring, it means you're not just fed, you have good food you like and want, you have a nice place, not just shelter, you have money left over to do what you want, and knowing if some catastrophe strikes you're at least somewhat prepared. Boring is exciting as fuck to me. Boring means you have the STABILITY to possibly go so not-boring stuff.

  4. It's definitely a status symbol type thing, "Look at me, I CAN AFFORD to have multiple families". Elon is a great example, if he wants to fuck around and have tons of kids with different women, great, more power to him, if I had actual infinity money I would too, because why not? When you have tens of billions, setting aside a trust fund that'll care for a bastard for life plus a century is like tipping a waiter. He probably has a 'Guy' on staff who does just that. But if you're struggling and barely keeping your head above water trying to support some single mother, I can only laugh.

Meanwhile you have men like my dad, he was 80 when my mother died in 2020, they were married for 59 years, and as he says, he'll never date again because they're still married. "Our vows said till death do US part, not one or the other of us. I can't meet someone new, I'M STILL MARRIED to your mother. Just because she died doesn't change that'. Be at least as good a woman as my dad is as a good man.
