  3. I'd say this: We've been living together for 8 years with zero kids, so I'm still on the fence about if she even actually likes me or wants to get married. Marriage is solely for starting a family, which only happens with kids. If she wants me enough to have my kids I'll marry her. It's all her choice.

  4. I could never get my exes to get to the point of understanding there are only two people on earth, me and her, no one else matters or exists to me, so they should not to her. But that's ALL that exists to them. I'm willing to give a woman the whole world, but it has to be meaningful to them because I'M giving it to them, not that they're getting the whole world. It's literally the thought that counts. Some 10 chick gives me an extravagant gift, meh whatever. My little 4 year old niece made me a birthday card this year, I'll keep that for life. THAT card means more to me than a briefcase of cash, and something I love to do is keep that card and give it back to her in her 20s, I did this for my younger sisters. It's meaningful. It's love.

  5. it's why I say the things that are REALLY valuable are impossible to buy, they have to be FREELY GIVEN. Things like respect, love, affection, caring, children, all of those things lose all value if you purchase them. But when given freely they're priceless because they're rare.

  7. I own my house and my farm. If she wants to argue thousands on the ring, she's talking herself out of marrying into millions, but that's HER problem. The ring is a SYMBOL. Usually the more extravagant the symbol, the more worthless the idea, so you have to compensate for it. It's the Trump criticism, we all know you're rich, you don't have to gold plate everything and stamp your brand on it to prove it.

  11. One sentence that changed my entire mindset and thought process dealing with people of both genders: YOU CANNOT NEGOTIATE ATTRACTION. If the attraction is not there naturally, nothing either party can do will MAKE it happen. In fact trying to make it happen absolutely makes it not happen.   14. I think of it like this, I could go to a jewelry store for MY wedding ring as a man and spend lets say $500 on a silver band (I hate gold, yellow is ick to me). OR I could make it mean something, take a trip out to visit my sister in Arizona, hike the desert until I find an abandoned old mine, scale my way in, extract some silver I have smelted into the ring I want, THAT MEANS SOMETHING. Also my parents got married in 1961, my mother asked my dad out and was rejected THREE times before he said yes, they were married 59 almost 60 years, and never once, not a single day of my entire life, did I ever see either of them ever wear a wedding ring. Or jewelry really of any kind, they didn't even have or approve of tattoos, which is probably why me nor none of my siblings have tattoos or really ever wear jewelry.

If I did not get fired, quit, because that low offer was an insult and you should not work for an employer that would insult you. That's the rejected marriage proposal. I offered you a job I've been prepping you for years for, you turn it down I have to replace you with a better worker who will say yes.
