My new boss, Zoomer, forced my workplace to close for Thanksgiving "So we can be with our families, since I had my son I realized I want to spend more time at home...", and meanwhile we're all childless guys older than him, and I broke the news to him some of us want to work the holidays to get away from the homelife. Not everyone's family is the rosy picture you have, brah. Going to work is the escape for some of us. It's all for the BUDGET, if we work we get paid double time instead of just holiday pay. We normally run 7 days a week/365. This was the first holiday we've had no one working in the 9 years I've been there. We operate a water treatment plant, and being closed that day meant the next day's guy had to work a 16 hour shift to catch up to demand.

  3. If I went to a Doctor for ANY other ailment that did not get better for YEARS with intensive treatment, I'd be seeking alternative providers and/or different treatment! You go to the ER with sepsis and tell them yeah, the witch doctor said talking about it and taking these supplements would fix it but the rot just keeps spreading...antibiotics, no they never said anything about that...cure it overnight, no shit?
