  1. I've been living with my 83 year old dad for several years now after his wife, my mother, of 59 years passed unexpectedly. I'm 40 and pretty much given up on family life, taking care of him takes a LOT of time and work, on top of a full time career, so yeah it's like that some days honestly, he's helpless, I get a giant 'sonny do' list from him, and it's like having a spouse with all the work and effort, and zero benefits. He pays me, quite well in fact, but it's not worth what I'm missing out on. DAMN ME for being a good man and a dutiful son. Here's to hoping a good person eventually helps out my life instead of being a disability in a world that doesn't appreciate dedication and fidelity.

  2. My younger sister and her husband got a Goldendoodle and it was their fur baby for like the first year they were married. Fast forward to their first kid being born, hardly saw the dog after that. Second kid was born, oh you guys still have a dog, I didn't know lol. They used to bring the dog to visit grandpa, not anymore. When they'd have house parties the dog was all over, now it's locked in a back bedroom until the party is over. I love my sister and my nieces, I'm a big brother, I'm always lurking in the shadows in case I have to jump in front of a bullet, but I feel sorry for the dog, it doesn't know it's basically furniture at this point, it's just a goofy fun loving dog.

  3. For real, I have a large family, we're close, and honestly that KEEPS me from dating a lot as a man, because I have siblings to take care of and talk to and work with. It's friday, I'm bored, are my older sister and her husband also bored, let's cook dinner together, drink, watch movies, and talk late into the night. We do that ALL the time and it's great. If I could just get that with someone who also wanted me sexually, and I wanted and enjoyed them, that would be even better, but let's not get TOO ambitious lol. And that's turning DOWN invites from other family to go do other stuff. My siblings are always all over the place. I guess when someone never had that it can feel lonely. I'm not lonely really, I just want to get laid. I have needs.
