  4. Only for the first 5 years or so. After that and the last 10 I've just been angry or indifferent. SHE on the other hand married guy she left me for, had 4 kids, then he divorced her and left her as a 38 year old unemployed single mom, so oh wells.

  8. It's so crazy to me I'm virtually an atheist, but to me marriage is a once in a lifetime thing you get once. Forget 'god' it's a promise you make in front of billions of other PEOPLE, so if you break it, that's an insult to those billions of other people who trusted you to be faithful in your marriage, we were there to WITNESS that commitment, now we witness you break it with our judgement. I never ask people how they got divorced, no, ask SO HOW DID YOUR MARRIAGE FAIL?

  12. As a single never married PERSON, you tell me you're divorced I instantly JUDGE you harshly, man or woman, because there's millions of chances not to marry someone, and you missed them all. It astounds me seeing people get married when they've only known each other for years or so, you need decades to know someone that well. And yes there is a Black Swan factor too, if you do some major event ONCE, the likelihood it happens again goes WAY up. You divorce once, the chances it happens again are extremely higher. Just like if you cheat once, it makes it easier again. once you cross that line, you can't cross back, so be REALLY sure you want to.

  15. which is insane to me, the SOLE reason I don't travel is because I want to see the world the first time WITH MY KIDS. Showing them everything is the REASON to be a parent. Traveling today keeps me from my goal of becoming a parent. Travel has high opportunity costs.  @rebeccagarrett7111

  17. I didn't decide to stop dating, women apparently decided to stop dating me. I'm sitting here waiting for a bride lol. I'm ready and past retirement, at 40. No reason to retire unless I have kids, then I'd retire to homeschool and raise them.

Like my buddy in divorce #4 while also dating several women, it's like maybe take a break? Whatever you're doing is obviously not working, just like my strategy of not dating at all the last 15 years is not really working for me either.

You don't have a divorce, it's worse than that, you now have a lifetime black mark you CHOOSE to have called a failed marriage. It's like f-ing up a mortgage, you're not 'unhoused', you have a foreclosure mark on your record you WORKED to get, you own THAT now, congrats.

  21. I could travel the rest of my life If I wanted to. Without a partner it seems like a boring waste. What's the point of having the world with no one to share it with? What's the point of earning everything if there's no one to leave it to? Dear god don't let my siblings' kids find out how much more Uncle Rob is dead than alive, and they're the beneficiaries lol.

  22. I like the idea of in divorce both parties lose everything to the state, including the kids. You both get out single, homeless, penniless, and your kids in foster care until 18, done deal, guaranteed, the SOLE outcome by law. People would not get married flippantly. If you have kids all your finances are liquidated and put in a trust, so when they get out of foster kid prison where YOU put them, they get your payday.
