I work in a municipal dept, not union, I make $18/hr. When I need something fixed, I call a contractor and pay them $150/hr to fix it. It's frustrating, knowing that guy made more in three hours doing my job, than I make in a week doing my job, and the same taxpayers pay for both.

If the corporation is not a person, US title 18 does not apply, boom you just put corporations absolutely above the law, untouchable. Because criminal law can only apply to persons. This goes back to the 1500s. So, what we have, or an even worse corporatocracy. You pick.

@Krep45 problem is this, under US law, ONLY PERSONS are subject to criminal law. If you eliminate corporate personhood they'd become absolutely above the law. You could only punish and get compensated by individuals, so the guy who dumped the waste, prison, the guy who ordered it, maybe prison, the corporation, zero liability, because it's not a person. This is a concept going back to the 1500s. Laws only apply to people, so everything you want subject to the law must be a person, or they're above the law. Even the United States itself is a person, it's considered as the personal embodiment of all us citizens, We The People
