  6. Loneliness and being alone are quite different. In the past, alone time was VERY rare for most people for most of their lives. Families even slept together. We're more lonely today because we actually are alone far more.

  9. The way I explain it is, when I'm by myself, I feel very lonely most of the time. But when I'm around people, all I want to be usually is alone. I've noticed I always feel out of place in life these days, wherever I find myself, all I can think about is where I think I SHOULD be at that time, and I can't be present in that time. Maybe another would distract from that?
