It's exactly what an abusive partner screams to their lover when they get tired of the abuse and leave. You can't leave, I won't let you, after all I've done for you! YOU OWE ME!

EXCUSE ME!?

@yggreuyri5822 Ok, but same thing I'd say to a woman in an abusive relationship, THEY CHOSE THAT, they can leave for better at any time, the fact they don't eliminates my sympathy. Teachers want to get paid more, go get a job making more, or do something else. Guy you're banging is beating you, swap him out for one of the 10 other guys trying to get with you that WON'T beat you. How is this difficult to understand?

This is why there can be ZERO politics in education. This is indoctrination. This to me is no different than that teacher banging a female student to give her a passing grade.

That kid should have used the magic words "You're scaring me", because to a lot of kids that age this sort of haranguing would be scary. Maybe this kids dad rants like that and it puts him on edge. It's usually best practices to not yell and scream at children as an adult.

@APAMVs If I was a teacher and you started bringing up trump anything, I'm going to "Sir this is a Wendys" to you. We're in a school setting, not a political one. Save that for your own time. If I was a teacher and you were even aware of my politics or marital status, I've FAILED as a teacher.

@Zhengrui0 it's almost like teaching is a CALLING rather than a profit-making enterprise.

@XpVersusVista NO he's right, and I'm glad to see others on board. It's called compartmentalization. My personal life is my personal life and my work life is my work life. My personal life is my REAL life because work comes and goes, it's a TEMPORARY life. My personal life is more permanent. It's why I don't often talk to my coworkers about my weekend, and I never talk about "how was your day" when I get home, I leave work AT WORK and I leave personal life at home. Ideally, work would be a jacket I take off the rack and put on when I clock in, and take off at the end of the day, and no one outside of work sees me wearing it.

This is the kind of teacher who tells a female student he'll pass them if she blows him, which he deserves after all he's done for her.
