Will therapy fix my problems? Maybe, it could, probably not, but you'll at least be heard! Ah, so no reason to do it then. If I'm bringing someone a problem and paying them, I want a damn solution, I want a product that solves my issue.

@PaulClayton-t1z hanging out and being able to be yourself is the bare minimum base level of starting to work specifically on mental health. If I had a female therapist I'd make dead zero progress because no way would that ever be a safe space with her there judging me for things she has not and cannot experience. Here's an opposite example: a group that meets to discuss going through childbirth, thats a safe space for women, no men would want or be able to join, it's something we can never experience. We need a common perspective before we can help someone change.

By women. If a fellow man privately opens up to me, first off I respect them a lot, because them being able to open up to me as men means something huge (to me): They trust me. I'm going to intently listen and throw out anything I can I think will help you solve what you're going through, because that's what Men do. You trust me enough to ask for my help, I trust you enough to give it. I've never had that from a woman, because after my mom abandoned me to adoption at birth, I can never trust a woman.

@mnomadvfx liberal and conservative have no political context in this example. Conservative as in we actually conserve and minimize and are stoic, liberal as in permissive, grandiose, free spending, a bleeding heart. Men don't go splurge their rent on shoes and brunch to feel better physically, for example.
