  1. Maybe that's WHY they CAN afford such lavish expenditures. I know 2 extremely wealthy individuals/families, in the 8-figure range, and both own 'normal' 300-400k houses. They drive nice yet normal cars. They do live in safe affluent neighborhoods, but they don't live flashy rapper-mansion lives because most of their wealth goes into leveraging to more wealth, and saving to guarantee a future. One bought a second house, rented it out to buy more houses, used that revenue to buy other houses, open car washes, on and on and into other ventures, at the same time working as the CEO of a major multi-national corporation (50/50 you have used their products). The other were immigrants who came to the US from India in the 70s, spent every penny they had to open a convenience store, expanded to rentals, and today they own more than a dozen C stores, restaurants, all their kids own and operate their own c-stores/resturants, one is a constantly-booked wedding and club DJ, and they've started a pharmacy chain. If you met either of these people on any regular day, you'd have zero clue. If just I personally know two examples, there have to be many more out there. People who live their wealth under the radar.

  2. Values being what they are today, she could take that car to someone with an Aventador, a true enthusiast, and they'd probably trade it straight up and feel like THEY scammed HER.
