  1. Yes, it's a signal they are actual humans. Any person, anywhere, with anyone will flinch when you raise a hand to them. There is a whole prank built around it called 2 for Flinching you may have heard of. Self-preservation instincts are strong no matter who it is or how much you trust someone. Note defending anyone or taking sides, I've literally never heard of these people prior to this video, but just saying flinching is a 100% all-of-humanity normal thing. In fact, LACK of flinching in such a situation is often an indicator of cognitive dysfunction/lack of proper response to stimuli.
