  4. As someone who straddles that line between 'eras', born in 1983 and had 9/11 happen to start my senior year of HS, it's weird. I'm not quite a very young Xer or a eldrly Millennial. I grew up playing outside and having cell phones and the internet. I remember being a kid and life being yes, a bit boring, then the promise of the new millennium, immediately snuffed by hey now all these people hate and want to kill you because reasons and we're forever at war. I'd take the boring pre-9/11 days back for sure. The anxiety of boredom is great and preferable once you've experienced the anxiety of FEAR, of terror.
