One thing that always holds true on Mad Men: Joan is always right.

Really, that's what made it less egregious. He was cloning people from work/life, but they were JUST clones physically. He had to code their personalities and did so to his own specifications. They were only meant to be what he wanted them to be, not what the actual person's consciousness/personality was.

It's not a remake if it was never seen or known to it's intended audience. The vast majority of we Americans had never heard of Shameless or House of Cards until after they were popular shows here and people started pointing to their overseas originals. As far as we are concerned, our versions ARE the originals, and the UK versions are something else, and will be based comparatively to the first version We saw. Doctor Who is also similar. I'd never watched a single second of the show until Season 2 of the new series and I fell completely in love with it, I've seen them all, many multiple times, but when I go back to the past and try to watch 'classic' Doctor Who, it's completely unwatchable expecting something like the modern series.

@rainbowjeremy-t3v you think it has no meaning, you think it's that way, but it's that other way. It has meaning.

One thing no one here seems to understand is that the whole reason Daly feels so slighted is that all those employees owe their current positions to HIM. He invented the tech their company builds and markets. He is the founder, the brains behind the operation. He should have enjoyed the type of lavish praise and devotion Steve Jobs famously received...but he didn't. None of the office characters seem to get that either. Just what I saw.

Symmetry, probably the signature hallmark of Kubrickian cinematography. ♥

You're like undeveloped property with a great view, lmao

Cinematographer Roger Deakins....Say no more, masterpiece confirmed

Daly is the reverse Steve Jobs: creates a massively successful, beloved product, and gets no respect or showers of admiration for it. Whereas Jobs inspired cult-like devotion even after death, Daly just gets slighted by the very people who owe their very careers and livelihoods to.
