  2. Very true, just be entertaining is all I ask. I've seen some BAD movies this year (Morbius) that were still entertaining. Nope was just 'okay'. The visuals and cinematography were gorgeous, the landscape shots, nice.

  3. What's funny is my theater was almost full last Friday, and I don't think I saw any non-whites.

  4. Nope was 'okay'. It was very similar to 'Get Out', which was also just okay, and very similar to Us, which I hated. I did like 40mg of edibles an hour before the movie and it was tolerable.

True, most people don't see a film based solely on whom it was directed by, BUT I will say that I saw the trailer for 'Oppenheimer' in my screening of 'Nope' and I thought, "Hmm, I don't know about that OH WAIT it's written and directed by Christopher Nolan? Then I definitely have to see it" So that DOES happen. I think that's why 'Blackhat' was such a bigger disappointment, many people including myself watched that solely because it was a Michael Mann project, and all his past work was masterful. Can't win 'em all.
