  1. The irony is that were they real PC Gamers, they would be giving gamers advice on how to block and prevent ads on their PC to enhance their gaming performance and experience. Such as buying a Raspberry Pi Zero W, mating it with a USB-A power supply board, loading Pi-Hole Adblock DNS redirect system software on it, and plugging it into the empty USB slot on your wifi router. Bang, ads done FOR REAL. It acts as a man-in-the-middle DNS server for your internet connection, and any DNS queries your network attempts to make to known ad providers, it goaltends them into oblivion. It works quite well, and this is not an ad but I strongly recommend it.

We are experts, and with our expertise we are telling you this is a great product, and it's even on sale, click here to buy it, we get a kickback if you do, and this is completely not an advertisement. You got to buy it, you got to buy it, Buy,buy, buy!! I guess such sites fail to realize that by positioning themselves as 'product experts' in the field, that when you then recommend a product it basically becomes an ad, even if you don't profit from it. They're lending their 'authority' on the subject to backing whatever product they recommend to consumers. It would be like an olympic gold medalist pro athlete saying in an interview that they use such-and-such vitamins or supplements, and they are not paid in any way by the company, they just really like their vitamins and supplements, you should try them...that's advertising, albeit free. It makes people stand in the store looking at two competing products and saying "I saw this one get 10 stars on PC Gamer, this other one was not mentioned...I'll get the recommended one".
