  1. The more training, the more requirements, the more barriers to entry, the more you would have to pay to get people. A job that takes 3 years to even start working better start at 6-figures, whatever it is.

  2. Just like George Floyd, just like Michael Brown, the sole person responsible for these incidents is THE PERSON WHO CALLED THE POLICE, the store owner. Police very rarely magically appear, they're summoned. George Floyd would be alive if the Black store clerk didn't call police. Michael Brown would still be alive had the person of color store clerk not called police, and I bet this kid would have not had this happen had the person he stolen from not called police. Am I saying anyone in any case is innocent, no. But maybe we need to start dealing with more issues personally, rather than calling in lethal force as a first resort. If you call the guys with guns, do not be surprised when they show up and use the guns you called for.

  3. Ideally, committing crimes and actually being treated like a criminal for your crimes will deter you from committing crimes. Just don't do crime.
