  4. I think any discussion of Batman in this legal context needs an exploration of JURY NULLIFICATION. Did he commit all of these crimes, sure. But, could you find a jury that would actually convict on any of them, knowing the circumstances? Probably not. The jury is the ultimate arbiter, regardless of penal codes, regardless of reasoning or even evidence. The prosecution could present an airtight, slam-dunk case against Batman and a Gotham jury could still vote to acquit. And they should.
