  1. Not calling someone 'she' who identifies herself as she, comes down to respect for that that person... Ben Shapiro doesn't respect them, that's all it is. I work with a transgender person and very simply to call her 'him' would only be because you are obsessed with what she has in her pants (or had at some point) ie you're fixated - get over it. I do find it interesting that Ben hates ESPN bringing politics into sports, but Ben can't keep his politics out of simple personal interactions... his politics don't allow him to respect people... So what's the difference between Ben's politics and Ben's bigotry? How does respecting a transgender persons identity AFFECT Ben? Clearly Ben doesn't actually know or at least empathise with trans people. Coincidentally, he raises the the evidence of male female brain functioning being inherently different which has been diminishing every single generation, and equality is the reason. Which is problematic to Ben's argument that males and females brains are inherently biologically different (rather than being shaped by social factors) no surprise that Ben ignores that fact...

  2. Misses the point of saving humanity. Yes, let's not guarantee saving a few to save the species. Let's burn all the seeds in the world seed bank cos it isn't saving all the living plants that went extinct. He seems to be more enthusiastic about the uniqueness of his argument and it being different to Hawkin's than it being valid and fully defensible. I mean who is to say we see the threat coming and can create an anti-virus/asteroid/etc in time to stop the calamity... in which case a backup on Mars would be the ONLY option.
