  29.  @tracyb1975  Don't give up. It might be better to go for a lot of cups of coffee to talk and get to know each other rather than a 'date.' Good guys are hard to find because they get so burned and get trashed, treated very badly by women who 'test' them. Look into yourself and figure out what you like that a decent guy may like. You may have to be a bit forward towards a single guy (who's nerves are frayed) you bump into. Do you like music, outdoor activities, movies (go in the afternoon), etc. It's better if you both share things in common.

  30. Don’t give up. There are nice non-college working at restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Think of something you guys might have in common, like foods or whatever you’re doing at the time. Be forward friendly and don’t allow any negative crazy responses to effect you… thank her for letting you know because she isn’t for you.

  36. Dabir Dalton Narcissists do have a disorder, my brother has it. He has an ego problem and has an extremely difficult time to change, in spite of therapy. His son cut off all contact as an adult. I was unable to be there until his daughter was an older child. I worked very hard to be there for her around her birthday and Christmas. My women friends helped by letting me know how to phrase things, picking the right gifts including books that helped her feel better about herself. It worked and my brother realized he was losing her and worked on mimicking my behavior, but regularly falls into his narcissism. My nieces ego is bruised, but strong, mission accomplished. I could then show my faults so she wouldn't waste her time looking for Mr. Perfect. She may never completely forgive my brother.

  41.  @janet3782  I'm 63 years old and have never met a truly meek, submissive or passive adult woman, doubt that you ever met one either. It's always been a show. I've never met a woman who matches this illusionary 1950's domestic television show 'social norm' you refer to. Every woman I've ever met when I was under 30 always had a goal in all relationships and never was passive unless it was passive like a spider's web. I live in the U.S. and grew up in the 60's and 70's. Maybe it's different in your part of the world, but I doubt it.

I regret women have had a profoundly negative impact on my ability to trust and ruined my outlook on dating. It’s necessary these days to have a long list of what red flags are, what are relationship killers, subtle friendly interrogation methods and try to be fun all at the same time.
