  20. Some people wrote a lot of BS or have an outlook from la la land. People rent because it’s less of a hassle or cheaper than buying a home. The last two years of rising home prices were caused by the Federal Reserve. A home price doesn’t always go up with inflation. Buy in a neighborhood that goes bad and the value drops. Bad could mean toxic waste discovered, running out of water, flooding, places of employment leaving, taxes money being wasted, absentee landlords letting properties going to waste or the usual invasion of bad people - drug dealers and criminals.

  23.  @Dantee.15  I grew up extremely poor, now I’m retired and better off than most people. Most landlords are decent people trying to maintain their property as best they can. Costs like taxes and costs of maintenance have gone up faster than rents. It’s easy for property owners to spend thousands of dollars anytime anything needs to be done. The problem as I see it is government out of control, especially on a national level. Federal spending is out of control and Federal Reserve dollar creation is out of control, most of the money is going into supporting corporations which is supporting the richest people who are executives or owners of the corporations.

  28. Federal Reserve needs to cut interest rates NOW! They need to avoid the mistakes they usually make and keep interest rates too high for too long. A quarter point cut each month as long as inflation doesn’t trend up would help any big swings in economic activity. There are inflation problems like federal budget deficit, global shipping and wars that Fed has no control over.
