Biden just started today by using executive orders to set up accelerated vaccination production and accelerated vaccine distribution. The Democrats were the minority party under Trump and had to accept what they could get. So much for the "sleepy Joe" terminology Trump and his supporters used. And once again the Republicans are trying to stop the spending the economy needs to get going.

Fracking with horizontal drilling will allow the U.S. to produce as much oil as it ever produced. Production is only limited by price.

  23. The United States (Trump) is simply responding to the unfair and illegal tactics Communist China is using to steal or extort technology from the West. The Western economies are being drained by China. The working class in the United States is barely making it. The false narrative is told by the old guys from Wall Street constantly bringing up the Great Depression which was caused by tightening money, not tariffs. We were saved from a depression in 2008 by the Federal Reserve making money cheap and Congress spending money. Wall Street just wants to line their pockets by selling out the American worker and don't care one bit about the suffering of the poor and middle class.

  25. The wrong assumption by economists is the U.S. is isolated from demand from the rest of the world, it is not. A 20% increase in dollars means the dollar is worth 20% less unless the U.S. economy is 20% more efficient and it is not. Once economic activity returns to the U.S. and the world, there will be more dollars chasing at most the same amount of goods as before the pandemic with less efficiency than before the pandemic.

  26.  @vietimports  Check the prices of houses and cars from 40 years ago, costs are 3-4 times as much. 40 years ago there were still dime stores, today there are dollar stores. In the 1970’s a new Corvette could be bought for less than $4000. My first job at McDonald’s paid me $1.60 an hour… that was almost 50 years ago. I obviously have the advantage of having lived through the last 60 years and seen how bad inflation is.

  27. There's debt because of the way the money system is set up. The Treasury needs to take control of the dollar and simply create the money necessary to keep the economy going without counting it as debt. Treasury can limit inflation by limiting the creation of money when inflation goes up. The only reason there is any national debt is because of accounting and giving authority over currency to the Federal Reserve, which is not part of the Constitution. The way the dollar is created through the Federal Reserve primarily benefits the wealthy and harms the average person.
