@TRLgoodvibesdotcom I was a child and bought small toys, small boxes of candies, my mother bought things for sewing, bowls utensils… not much different than what you find in dollar stores today. Dollar Tree announced it will start selling products more than a dollar so inflation has definitely caught up on the cheapest items.

@vietimports Check the prices of houses and cars from 40 years ago, costs are 3-4 times as much. 40 years ago there were still dime stores, today there are dollar stores. In the 1970’s a new Corvette could be bought for less than $4000. My first job at McDonald’s paid me $1.60 an hour… that was almost 50 years ago. I obviously have the advantage of having lived through the last 60 years and seen how bad inflation is.

Cathie is a complete space cadet that lives in an alternate fantasy version of reality. Federal Reserve is creating too many dollars that the economy can’t efficiently use, too many cheap dollars keep zombie corporations afloat, too much government and too little support for innovative new small businesses. Inflation is massive and here to stay.
