I lost a lot of weight when I was in my early 30's with ephedrine weight loss pills. It causes the prostrate to grow, so I had to have prostrate reduction surgery at 58.

@AGNETHAFALTSK0G Everyone is knocked out for major surgery. Luckily, I had the best doctors at one of the best hospitals. My nerves were left intact and I didn't have any stitches. Her surgery is different and she will likely have stitches and be very uncomfortable afterwards.

@AGNETHAFALTSK0G I’m 63 now and if done incorrectly, surgery can cause urinary and erectile problems

@fr3dricks0n You are correct, only lasted a few years but it felt nice to be so light even though ribs and bones were pronounced.

@mariomario4068 I wasn’t kidding about connections and very expensive insurance… my former employer covers 80% and I together pay about $12,000 a year. With medicare at 65, it will be about $15,000 a year. Hospital group messed up, didn’t sue, so now I get VIP status and best doctors at one of the best medical centers in U.S.

@catsozen No. I was shafted in my career and stuck at my job because I needed my pension. Like normal people, I sucked it in, did my minimum job and looked elsewhere for additional income and fulfillment.

I was anorexic once, wasn’t so bad except no muscle strength.

Next time I have severe food poisoning that doesn’t go away right away, I’m heading to the clinic.

U.S. has some of the best healthcare, just need the right doctors, the right hospitals and very expensive insurance.

It’s true, in the U.S. having the best insurance or right connections (better both) puts you on the top of the list, no insurance and no connections puts you at the bottom of the list.
