U.S. troops were in Europe because of the Soviet Union, which fell apart about 20 years ago. There has been no reason for U.S. to be involved in European security since then. It’s long past the time U.S. left, we can’t afford wars anymore.

Help was delayed because Ukraine was incredibly corrupt. President Trump can’t make Ukraine do anything. EU has a larger economy than U.S. and can support Ukraine without U.S. U.S. also needs to exit NATO so Europeans pay for their own security. Taiwan is one of the wealthiest and technologically advanced countries in the world, they need to take their own security seriously. It will be better for U.S. if its allies are independently strong. Trump is right.

U.S. supports Ukraine sovereignty, but it’s not our war. Trump will force EU to stop dumping its costs of self-defense on U.S which should have been done after the iron curtain fell.

NATO started because Western Europe was weak after World War II. EU includes former Eastern Europe countries and has a larger economy than U.S. It’s long past the time that EU grows up and pays for protecting itself.
