Sorry, farmers want the technology advancements and quality of Deere farm equipment, but some farmers don't want the terms that go with it. Don't buy the product. Deere wants to protect the reputation of their equipment and don't want the liability if they allow anyone to work on it. This equipment is complex and too dangerous to have part time mechanics work on it. As a retired computer programmer analyst, there's no way hacked software could safely run farm equipment unless there's some illegal copying of software.
