  7.  @truepatriot5242  I agree. I'm a Rand Paul/Mike Lee Republican, but you can't deny that we have a two party system. If you don't support the incumbent then do so in the primary. In the general your only choice is for the best party.

  8.  @truepatriot5242  Trump doesn't support the war on drugs in the U.S., he does it through trade. The Patriot Act must be repealed in Congress. FISA Has Too Go! All gun restrictions are unconstitutional, but the differences in the party platform planks is vast. EDIT: I'm a card-carrying member of NRA.

  13.  @truepatriot5242  I think you're wrong about tax cuts not affecting lower incomes. They have been instrumental in raising wages. You're absolutely right about the effect of the 'bully pulpit' on Congress. Unfortunately I don't have an alternative to the Patriot Act. We have to track domestic terrorism, but FISA is not the answer. If we allow unfettered investigation and rely on punitive civil litigation as a deterrent for abuse then justice would only be available to the rich. This subject needs a more thorough debate. I don't have the answer, I only know that FISA isn't it.

  14.  @truepatriot5242  Perhaps if investigations into American Citizens required a warrant from the Senate Intelligence Committee, or some similar elected officials, that would be an adequate deterrent and shift the balance of power back to the voters. ???
