I'm sorry EU, but this travel ban makes perfect sense.

Coronavirus is DEFINITELY being used to bolster Authoritarianism.
21
And DW loves pushing that fear. They advocate no personal rights outside of social responsibility. Socialism
12
Stop reporting WHO as an authority!
12
It's a terrorist recruitment and training area. They don't get a vote.
9
It sounded to me like the EU (in typical socialist fashion) is putting the welfare of the Union over the welfare of individual citizens.
7
I expect a 'baby boom' in 2021.
7
Christina Reynolds Personal Sovereignty. The right to decide and act in my own best interest. Freedom from government intrusion and constant 'Big Brother' oversight. Governments WILL exploit your fear to further social control. It's the basic premise of 'One for All, NOT All for One'.
6
The coverage of the U.S. is disgustingly biased.
5
@British EITC Corporatist Does anyone know yet that contracting WuFlu establishes immunity? I heard a report from Wuhan that people reinfected have a 30% mortality rate.
5
rxp56 Who restricts their borders for racist reasons? I only know of one... Iran.
5
Every study I've seen shows HCQ+Zpac is 91% effective.
5
@coachmoses7229 Personally, I won't be mandated anything. I trust my doctor, not my government, so if it's in my best interest to get vaccinated I'll do it. I'm fortunate to have worked hard and retired early, debt free. I have 3 acres of land in the BlueRidge mountains and my sovereignty is protected by dogs and guns. I only want the same freedom for everyone, no matter where you call home.
4
Is that 'failure of leadership' before or after the U.S. China travel ban? If you're talking about after... it's a lie.
4
@teerificbitch All countries need to rethink outsourcing of essential materials.
3
@katharina... Agreed! "There is nothing new under the sun." The prosperity of freedom inevitably leads to the complacency of socialism. (over and over again)
3
@coachmoses7229 Maduro is an international drug lord. Venezuela's chief textile export is cocaine. His terroristic reign in the triad area is criminal. I wish we could just leave him alone, but his expansion of evil is contaminating the continent. You're right about the inundation of faulty data. Media loves sensationalism, and they'll even lie to report it.
3
Lifting sanctions on Iran is a BAD idea. We have repeatedly offered humanitarian aid and they refuse.
3
@gutersteinker Mutually Assured Destruction?
3
I subbed this channel hoping for global perspective. If DW accurately reflects the world's 'Doom and Gloom' attitude, I don't want any part of it.
3
Yeah... Last week.
3
The Democrats know that if there's no job to return to, we'll be more dependent on government.
2
Wow... What's happened to DW? This marks two days in row with balanced reports.👍
2
Christina Reynolds The function of State should be to empower individuals... Not to socially engineer the populous. 'Spontaneous Social Organization' is a real phenomenon which governments don't recognize.
2
@GS-wz1ud That's not exactly true. Many have died defending your rights.
2
@brinjoness3386 Thanks. I'll watch it again. I think the problem you're seeing is that Trump doesn't speak the language of politicians, where every syllable is carefully crafted with the expectation of being parsed. Inside the political bubble he is misunderstood, but in rural America we understand him perfectly. Where the media sees bigotry and incompetence, I see compassion and focused determination.
2
@brinjoness3386 That's not true. You just don't want to understand him. He sounds just like rural America, and you sound like an intolerant elitist.
2
This smacks of retribution. It's obvious that the EU Hierarchy don't like Trump. DW looks like CNN Europe.
2
The Chinese economy is a great ponzi scheme. The Yuan is worth 14 cents on the Dollar. Foreign debt is the only thing holding the Chinese economy together. As foreign trade and manufacturing leaves China, they will surely collapse.
2
They Refused Help! Remember? Do you have the attention span of a gnat? The CCP can't be trusted.
2
That "anti-India" agency funding DW would be China.
2
@Baba baba Every comment, advisory, precaution, and recommendation from the beginning has been wrong. After their initial investigation in China they reported that the virus isn't transmitted person-to-person. They criticized travel bans. They didn't even declare it a pandemic until February! The WHO is obviously Not an authority on world health!
2
@donrainesoh Nothing's Free, and I don't intend to pay for that.
2
No mention of the fact that this is a Chinese owned venture.
2
So maybe they shouldn't have been so biased in their broadcasting.
2
A Chinese pharmaceutical company patented remdesivir in January. They tried to purchase the international patent, but Gilead wouldn't sell.
1
I have a problem with people around the world criticizing the actions of the U.S. They are not privy to the intel available to our President.
1
Governor Cuomo has banned the use of hydroxychloroquine outside of clinical trials.
1
@alepuc89 lol. That's true, however I do protect my property and I value my rights and freedom.
1
@jhostintola3092 I'm not selfish, in fact my friends consider me generous... And I would never endanger others. I respect the right to life, liberty, and property.
1
@thefourthrabbit9516 I'm not an Anarchist or a total Libertarian. I'm a Constitutional Conservative. I know that the power of the state comes from the governed. I don't want to see our air and water polluted, or natural resources squandered for quick profit. The 'public goods dilemma' is just that... a dilemma. There's a fine line between free-riding and social loafing. Promoting large-scale social cooperation is only a Federal function when it relates to interstate and international commerce as agreed to by the states. The Federal Government should never assume this regulatory power for the purpose of social engineering. For example; the federal government has no business getting involved in issues like 'marriage' and 'abortion'. These are state and local concerns. Governments should recognize their limited role and insure ultimate power to the individual. Consult the 9th and 10th amendments.
1
@GS-wz1ud I didn't say governments have always been Just. You're right this time though; many of the dead do care, even if their sacrifice only contributes to social education.
1
@thefourthrabbit9516 BTW. I also have a renewed appreciation of our FDA. Until developing nations are educated to the global consequences of their culture, pandemics like this covid thing will continue. China Has No Excuse! Their social acceptance of unregulated wet-markets has got to stop!
1
@GS-wz1ud Okay... I see you drank the koolaid. There's no such thing as 'white privilege'. Don't blame others for your own poor decisions. Accepting personal responsibility for your actions is the first step to success. If you live in America your opportunities are boundless.
1
@brinjoness3386 I'm not aware of an insulting diatribe delivered by President Trump last week. If you can be more specific, I'll watch it again with a more discerning eye.
1
@Ksch Koff I'm glad to hear this from you. My only access to opinions outside the U.S. are from sources like WB, and SkyNews. Hearing from you assures me that Capitalism and individual freedom is not a lost-cause globally. We can still be friends and allies. Hopefully our success with President Trump will influence others to try freedoms more lucrative path.

Let's all join hands and praise China.
1
@speedbird006 Isn't that what DW wants us to do?
1
@VoltaFlame The truth is that China isn't trying to fix anything. They recently even tried to patent the drug proven most promising as a prophylactic to the virus they created.
