Guess why? Because you'll have to trust Erdogan that he will keep his part of the deal. And no one is sure that he will. Not even his voters.

Sorry dear, don't do that. You think you are being kind (hopefully that's what you are trying) but it doesn't comfort Turks who face real problems, at all. Quite the opposite, it's feels as if you are trying to mock them. Most of them would leave their low debt/gdp country for Canada in a heartbeat, so I'd suggest have some empathy. The few positive indicators Patrick sees are for investors, not for people who depend on a paycheck to survive, 40% of whom receive the minimum wage. If a politician told me that he's devaluing my currency to become the next China I'd be ENRAGED!!! Because that means that my salary would become as low as China's, and I wouldn't accept any person living in Canadian wage telling me that there are positive aspects in that.

@TheCort1971 Sorry, I actually watched the video. But did you read the whole thumbnail? It says "rescue plan" and not "economic rescue" as you wrote. Rescue plan is what comes after a collapse in economy, so it makes perfect sense. Even though the video argues that this is actually a real rescue.
